Does this happen to you?

Well, I know that most people have complained about the LCD not turning off the backlight when closing the lid. Personally, I find that quite annoying; but not nearly annoying as this. Does anyone here have the problem that the LCD won't turn on at all when restarting the laptop with the lid closed? If Ipress the power button and immediately close the lid, my LCD won't turn on at all and I am forced to do a hard shut off to turn it on again. Can anyone relate? Is this only a video driver issue? If so, anyone know the latest Dell/Nvidia drivers that didn't cause these problems?

Thanks in advance...

Well, sometimes I want to turn it on and leave as I have some chat programs automatically booted and such.

I heard that the www.laptop2go.com 91.35 drivers are good for these symptoms, so I am gonna give them a try. If you beat me to it, please share your experiences.

I have that same exact problem where if I turn on the computer and close the lid, the LCD doesn't turn on at all and I have to restart the computer with it open. Anyone know how to fix both of the problems addressed?

I haven't tried this, but sometimes when I go to bed and I shut my lid, it won't turn back on until I close it and open it again. Try doing that after it boots. I believe it is a video driver issue, but I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. I am also very interested in a solution.
