I think the RAID controller on my area 51m 7700 is dieing! 
It all started when windows crashed at the loading screen, so I figured that windows had just thrown it's rattle out the pram and I tryed to format the drives. However formating wouldn't complete well and neither would setup. I've managed to load windows after a quick format, but it's still crashing like mad. After checking the windows event veiwer I've discoverd that my problem was the hard drives failing. However after some mager googling, I've discovered others with the same error except it's not the hard drives failing, it's the Promise RAID controller thats failing.
I was going to put the hard drives into none RAID, but after reading here, apparently I still have to use the RAID controller to do that. Is there anyway I could circumvent this problem?
