External USB sound card output --> integrated speakers?

After struggling with a terrible MIDI delay (I arrange music and have a midi keyboard) since I got my new lappy, I finally just bought an Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit External USB. I'm really happy with all the possibilities of the card; only downside is the gaming performance hog - but I knew that in advance. So now I have one question:

Can I output sound through the sound card to my internal speakers? Without an extra (lineout --> line-in) cable. I'm asking because this would be useful when recording concerts and/or travelling.

I think I remember someone managing this with a PCMCIA card...

From what I have been told (On the 9300) it is impossible.

Couldn't you just playback through the on board sound card? (Sounds and Audio Devices Properties -> Audio -> Sound Playback)

Sure, but that wouldn't give me the benefits of the Sound Blaster: low latency midi, eax
etc etc

Yeah, but it would allow you to playback any live recording you did.

I dont believe there to be a way to do this thats the downside to the SB for laptops
