Upgrading Memory

Thread Starter
I'm new to upgrading things on computers myself but is it difficult? What does it mean when it says "unbiffered"? and will this work with a Sentia 3450 -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820155010 -?

in theory that should work but if your not confident contact alienware and have them walk you through the installation (also preserves your warrenty). To be safe either ask or find out which type of memory they use and order it from they or newegg. Buffered (not biffered ) memory runs about 30% slower and is mainly used for servers (i think)
