I'm looking at either the 9750 or the 5760 - and the more i think about it weight., heat, etc... the 5760 may do the job. Mostly video editing and running my Reflex heli simluator for kicks....
anyway,,, on the 5760, their current processors are the intel cord duo processor T2300,2400, 2500, and 2600 topping out at 2.16 GHX and 667mhz fsb.
So... what is this processor that is/was the Merom processor mentiond in another post...?
Snip...
------------
The last leg of Intel's comeback special will arrive on Monday in the form of Merom, or the notebook version of the Core 2 Duo, according to sources familiar with the company's plans.)

what will this processor do to the 5760 as far as performance (or are they using it now).
Personally, the thought the AMD 64X2 4800 is a processing powerhouse based on what I've read as compared to the intel chipsets.
I would assume that this is where all of the heat comes from in the 9750, as well as noise from fans to keep it all cool...
i would be using the same graphics card - the 7900 gtx , and same 2 gigs of memory with a pair of 100 gig 7200 rpm drives (not raided.. but one for video only).
Thanks for the advice or any insight to my problem of which way to go...
anything I'm not thinking of.. please chime in.
What...no spell check!!!! Yikes!!!!
Thanks
Wayne
