Is it the fault of the compiler/interpretor when your software has bugs?

Simple - AW has issues, if you work quickly you will have something thats not obsolete fine, trust me my dislike for em is as strong as yours is V but its the chance you take with AW maybe Dells buying them will help em in the long run. Stay cool! and give em hell! I hears your pain!

I think that calling people bastards, comparing laptops to a skin color, and distinguishing the poor from the rich is an infentile approach to dealing with your own problems.

People, here, are not riding on you because of your loss, it's the way you approached it.

I flush stuff down the toilet that I no longer want. And I didn't want that Alienware laptop after having so many issues in the very first week. And they weren't all software issues...read my first post and you will know what i mean.

The way I approached it was FUN to me. I like yelling at the stupid tech support guys on the phone, it's actually quite comical to listen to them. As well as reading your guys' posts...it's a forum, let's argue!!!

And I didn't compare the laptop to a skin color, my brother did, and I hadn't thought of it until then, but I totally agree. An Alienware laptop is just as flashy as an Avirex jacket....

It was the only way I could get my point accross that it wasn't about the money. The degenerate's on here who have to save up for a year to buy a crappy laptop would in no way ever admit that they got screwed. And If I were them, I would also spend hours and hours WITHOUT A LAPTOP to get it fixed.

What makes you so distinguished of a human being? Certainly it's not compassion, understanding and patience. You sound very arrogant at best.

There are other ways of expressing yourself, especially without diminishing someone based on their level of income

degenerates...wtf were you thinking. Do you think this will smooth things over???

Well, it only offers the tuner with MCE. Are you going to complain that you didn't get an exterior monitor too because it doesn't say anywhere on the site that the laptops don't come with a free external monitor?

He was a supervisor for christ sakes...a dumb one at that.

He was a support supervisor, why would he know every detail about the sales configuration of a new line?

Sounds like you're a customer, a dumb one at that that can't figure out you don't get components you don't order...

My cell phone can record any conversation at the click of a button so it makes it pretty easy...also, I've posted it to a few blogs and gotten some laughs. Obviously this isn't the place to post it though, as the OPs seem to like removing posts here.

Good for you. I'm sure everyone at I'm_an_ass.com thinks it's hilarious.

Damn I'm an idiot...why didn't I say something.

Who am I to argue with you're opinion that you're an idiot?

No I don't have a MIMO router, but I expected the 11g to work at least as well as a USB Linksys adapter...DON'T YOU THINK??????

I don't guess about hardware. I read about new components, their strengths and weaknesses before I buy. Guess you don't.

AW doesn't make the Airgo cards, they just install them if you choose them as an option. From the reports and reviews I read prior to ordering the Airgo card it's obvious that the Airgo card has great range with normal g-band, but not quite as good a throughput as other setups. However, if you get a router with an Airgo chipset to match the card it works very well.

I'm sorry....$4,750...hahahahaha, mr nitpicker

Can't do that either. I configured the max configuration and added a mouse, additional software and a router and it was less than $3900, and that was before the $400 price drop.

I'M NOT A POOR BASTARD LIKE YOU GUYS ARE...SPENDING HOURS ON THE PHONE TO GET YOUR BRAND NEW LAPTOP TO WORK CUZ YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO SEND IT BACK...I THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH $700 TO NEVER HAVE TO CALL, LISTEN, OR SEE ALIENWARE AGAIN!!!

LOL, I wasn't aware I'm a poor bastard. Can you tell the IRS that's the case, it might save me some taxes...

Maybe I'm not a poor bastard because I don't flush $700 down the toilet because I'm too lazy to load drivers after bothering to reformat and reinstall the OS.

If your system was as borked as you say, you should have demanded all your money back. Don't you rich guys have lawyers?

Quote:
I had already setup the RMA at that point, I was just low-level formatting to get all of the data off. After that I wanted to at least send it back to them with an OS installed. Once the Respawn DVD didn't work, i just reloaded windows and threw it in a box. Reinstalling windows can't fix crappy plastic, a dead pixel, a slow NIC, bad tech support, as well as a few other things.

LOL... You can do a low level format without reloading windows. And why would you care if an OS was on the system when you sent it back if you planned to eat $700 on the restocking fee anyway?

The last guy with a story like yours overclocked and fried his system, then took the restocking hit just to try to get some of his money back. Is that what happened to you?

Quote:
You must not know what a good computer is...or you fall in with the rest of the general population and think the products you buy are better because you paid more for them.

You have no idea what I paid for my systems. I'm an engineer and I rely on my computers to run my business and make my living. You come in here and say Alienware systems are flimsy plastic, then boast about how great Dell is and we're the poor retards.

You're killing me... Did you forget to take your lithium today?

Quote:
I wanted it for the Gaming and Video editing, as well as number crunching. All it did was game well...sorta, thats why i compared it to an Xbox. Wouldn't you agree?

You bought an m9700 for video editing and number crunching, yet I'm the one that has no clue about computers? You sir, are an uneducated jackass.

Quote:
Only if your poor...

If you're so rich the $700 doesn't bother you, why are you here bitching about it?

Quote:
I'm sorry...they sell the exact same thing without the light up alien head that is obviously marketed to little kids. I think my brother called it a "Ghetto Wannabe Laptop" /"Wigger Laptop". hahahaha...thats the real reason I sent it back, my brother made fun of me!!! ROFL.

You're full of sh*t. Sager sells clevo systems, the m9700 is an Arima platform. Alienware is the only US retailer that offers this platform. Please post a link to Sager's sales page for this platform.

Your brother is just as big a moron as you are apparently.

Then why are you buying flimsy plastic computers (according to you) that are made for kids?

How much has it cost you timewise to sit here on the internet and whine and cry like a little girl about your horrible traumatic experience?

You could have made thousands of dollars instead, rich guy...

And VooDoo...hahahahahahahahahaah...my friend has one and is wishin he sent it back a few weeks ago.

Ah, so you're not concerned for yourself, you're worried about us poor people...

Wow, thanks, you're quite a guy...

I also don't want to send it back to Alienware for fixing over and over again so that when I get it back it's obsolete.

No, you want to spend hours and hours on the internet whining about Alienware and trying to get other unemployed assholes in their parents basement to laugh at your cell phone recording of you being rude to an AW rep.

You could have made enough to buy a BMW in the time you've wasted on this issue now according to your $350 an hour badass self...

I can give you 8 solid reason why this thread should be closed.

Yeah, I guess you're much more important than the kids that save up to buy something they want.

But when are you going to address the adults here that disagree with your stupidity?
When we will see Adios by this jackass? Insulting the whole forum etc is uncalled for.
8 reasons and then some. This should be a dead topic. Close thread

You said you are a developer and you charge $350 a hour.
ROTFLMOL

You are a fool.
What a douche bag. He doesn't get $350 an hour. People who make $350 an hour do not go on an internet message board and act like a little baby.
