Arg, Dell releases Core 2 Duo the day my M1210 ships!

Well now I'm angry, wondering what my odds of returning this laptop are immediatly once I get it, even if I have to pay a shipping fee or something else.

And What's great about Core 2 Duo is that it's actually cheaper than Core Duo! The base chip on M1210 with Core Duo is 1.66 Ghz, but the base with Core 2 Duo at same price is 1.88 Ghz!

Awesome!

But curse me for buying, I knew Core 2 Duo was coming.

You can always refuse the laptop and the carrier will return it to Dell for no additional cost. Did you bought your XPS at the regular price or you used any coupons?

damn that sucks, cant you contact dell about it? and let them configure your notebook with the core 2 duo? if you send it back inmediatly

You have 21 days to return it for whatever reason. Send it back and reorder if you want the Core 2 that bad.

Refuse shipment. Then reorder. It's cheaper now, and maybe if you call you will get a better deal.

That's exactly what I did. I called them before my laptop was shipped and had them reconfigure the system with T5600, Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz. You should do the same thing. Or if you already received the laptop, just return it and tell them you are not satisfied.(30 days Complete Satisfaction Period) Then, you can get a new one.

i hate to be an ass but do your research next time lol

i've been looking all summer but waited for core 2 to hit laptops before i ordered.

I think they hit you with a restocking fee, even within the 21-day return period.
