I don't see why not...

NVIDIA_G71.DEV_029A.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M XG MobileForce Enhanced"

Alrighty. I'll try it then. What do I do if it screws up..? heh

Under services, change the 'NVIDIA Display Driver Service' to Manual or Disabled. Reboot then no more errors

The service is essentially useless and from what I hear is for internal NVIDIA debugging only, and is not even needed. I have no clue why it's even included, let alone automatically enabled...

Anyone try these drivers on a 2500M yet, an if so how is it working out.

Make sure you make a restore point first, then go back to the point that worked.

Vesuvan,

I am currently using the 91.47 drivers and so far they are working like a charm with no problems.

Doesn't it control Powermizer? Disabling means that it won't automatically switch down to max power savings level when you unplug. Does it not?

I'm using the 91.47 driver and am having a HELL of a time getting the proper resolution on my external LCD:

Samsung SyncMaster 203B connected via DVI Optimum resolution is 1400 X 1050 at 60 Hz.

Any ideas or suggestions?
Never mind, I switched to the Dell 7900 GS driver and all is well. This Sam 203b is only a loaner while my Sony 21" tube is repaired so I can live with the dell driver for now. I do know that I will be careful when I get a flat panel to replace my tube to get a more normal res instead of 1400x1050! I think I'll go 1600 x 1200 if I can!

Well, I tried the 91.47's and found a slight performance decrease on my machine. I lost 100 points in 3dMark06, even over the course of multiple tests. So I am back to the 91.37's, which are picture perfect for me. Great job Tony, keep up the great work! Looking forward to a working LCD lid driver eventually!

How are the performance of these drivers compared with the dell 84.69? I tried the 91.31, but I lost 150 points in 3Dmark06 and oblivion became slightly slower, are any of the trio better for 7900GS than the 84.69?

Is this true? or is the service useless? final question...how is the performance on 91.47 and which driver are you using/prefer?

thanks in advance

My experience aka how i spent my night shift.

XTreme-G MobileForce 91.45-v2.50e - wouldnt install on my machine
XTreme-G MobileForce 91.47-v2.50e - performed about 150 worse points on 3dmark05 then the official nvidia 84.63's but i like the order they laid out the options in in the old style tab.

will these work on a desktop 7900 GS?
