KOTOR2 Crashing

Hope to find some help here, I've had my 9750 since March and updated everything then. I'm in Iraq right now and have been trying to get this game to run to kill my time. I haven't had any problems with anyother game, even in this crappy heat ( Imagine 110 by 10 am ) I'm wondering if its the Dual core issue? Has anyone else got this game running on thier machine? I know its an older game, but it does help kill the time. Quake 4, HLF2, Doom3 don't take very long to beat, but they do look fantastic on this laptop. Thanks for the help.

Did you try to update the game to 1.0b? I think that patch resolves some of the multi-core issues of the game. Also, I found that I couldn't run any outside programs like DXTweaker (for triple buffering) until I started the game for the first time just from the CD autoplay.
