eMachines M6811 Laptop Athlon 64 3400+ 80GB 1.25g RAM

Up for sale is a slightly used eMachines M6811 laptop. I purchased this item last July for my final year of college. Now that I'm all done and won't be moving back and forth constantly, I've decided to sell the laptop as I have no use for it anymore.

Specs:
- AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor running at 2.21 GHZ. Although this processor clocks in at 2.21 GHZ, it outperforms and Intel 3.4 GHZ!!!
- 1.25 GB of PC2700 Ram. The internal slot has been professionally upgraded with a 1 GB stick of Crucial Ram. The external slot has 256 mb, but can be upgraded to 1GB to have 2GB total!!!
- 80 GB Hard Drive. This offers plenty of space for saving all your documents, music, and movies!
- ATI Radeon 9600 Video Card. This has 64MB RAM of DEDICATED RAM, no sharing with the system here!!! Plays back DVD movies and games perfectly!
- 15.4" TFT LCD WXGA Widescreen Display. Max resolution is 1200x800. There are NO DEAD PIXELS!!! The picture is brilliant and beautiful!
- 802.11g built in WiFi (wireless) internet capability.
- 10/100 ethernet port for wired networking.
- 56K Modem for dialup users.
- 6-in-1 memory card reader for digital memory cards (SD/MMC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Micro Drive, CompactFlash).
- PCMCIA Slot (type 1/2).
- 4 USB 2.0 ports, 1 Firewire port (IEEE1394, iLink) .
- External VGA connector and S-Video out (for connecting to another monitor or TV!)!!!

I am also including a few extras that I purchased for this laptop. They are:

- Samsonite Laptop Carrying Bag. This bag fits the laptop perfect and cushions it very nice.
- Logitech MX700 Wireless Mouse. This wireless mouse offers exceptional quality when it comes to wireless mice. Comes with dock station to recharge the mouse in.
- Antec Laptop Cooler. This cooler provides plenty of punch for cooling power. This will help any laptop run smoother and cooler.

Pics:

This laptop will come freshly formatted with Windows XP and will include the restore disk from eMachines.

Package Contents:
- eMachines M6811 Laptop
- AC Adapter
- eMachines Restore Disk
- Sansonite Laptop Bag
- Antec Laptop Cooler
- Logitech MX700 Wireless Mouse and Docking Station

You will LOVE this laptop!!!

So, whats it worth? Flicker has been fixed and internal ram slot has been upgraded with 1GB of Crucial Ram...

tiger direct advertised for around $900+ (m6805 refurbished)
try it on eBay - depending on the mood of the day, u'd probably get up to $600+ (not meaning to put u down, but c'est la vie on eBay)
unless u r really short on cash, i'd keep this baby, just buy another new one to satisfy ur urge of a new system
my 2 cents

cheers ...

I had it on ebay...it got up to $555, but I had a reserve set around $750 and a buy it now of $850...Maybe that was too high, but I have seen laptop with no specs at all sell for even more then that.

Hell, I saw another M6811 sell for $787 and it didn't come with any extras or anything...

Idk, I thought I had it at a good price with all the extras and upgrades...maybe not...

I guess timing means alot when selling on eBay too. I think the prices you listed are pretty good. Chances are someone will snap it up at a later date. There's always someone looking for a good deal for a decent back-to-school machine.

I had a chance to take a quick look at what's selling online and $750 is probably the top end of what you should expect for that laptop, even with the upgrades you did. Not that you couldn't get lucky and find someone willing to pay more than that, but there are a few good deals out there on new core duos for about the same price or less including a free printer. Even though they may not have a dedicated video card, the people that will most likely buy them won't even know what they are missing out on.

I'm working on a local sale right now for $850...she broke her laptop and was looking to buy a new one, but this one will serve her much better and is much cheaper she said...so that makes me happy...

the deal should be done this week...let's hope
