m5750 question ?

hi guys, I have a couple of questions about the Area-51 m5750, I hope you could help me with it.

In alienware's website it says that it doesn't have internal bluetooth ? all new laptops have internal bluetooth option, how come this one doesn't ? Also is there a PCMCIA slot that I can put a bluetooth card in it or something ? What would be the solution to this ? small bluetooth adapter ?

LOL, I Just realized that I wrote alot of questions here, Im sorry.

I see that there's an ethernet card and 56k modem, can I replace those with anything else since I don't use them, Im really not well informed in those area's of the laptop.

If there isn't any solution to an internal card or something, do you recommend a small adapter for it ? they're all kinda big, if you could link me to a small one that'd be great.

Also about the mouse, I would like to get a bluetooth mouse that goes along with this laptop, do you recommend a specific model ?

Is there an alienware mouse pad ? Where can I get it.

Pardon me but Im really excited since this is my first Alienware.

Abadi.

Alienware offers a USB option for bluetooth although its 1.1 bluetooth and I think its up to 2.0 revision. The thing thats good and bad about bluetooth is it opens you up to being hacked via the bluetooth so having the ability to remove it would be a benefit.

The ethernet card and the 56K modem are either integrated into the motherboard or the modem might be a small card that plugs intot he motherboard. Either way I wouldn't bother removing them as I don't believe there is anything else you could put in its place.

Thats pretty much all I know I hope it helps you out.

You can buy an Alienware mouse pad on their website - go to the Gear Shop.

You can also order a mousepad in the configurator. They're free with the top end lines, but I think you have to pay a little for the m5550 and m5750.

i miss the old stuff that used to be included in your purchase...

i.e. the packpack, mousebad and respawn kit... now they're all options

I don't remember them ever including the respawn without an extra fee, but I agree on the mousepad and even the t-shirt now. For some reason on the lower end models they charge $5 for the shirt, but give you an instant $5 rebate. It must save them a lot with people that don't want to pay for the shirt and don't see the rebate note...

I don't remember them shipping the laptops with backpacks, but with briefcase type cases with the 7700's. I was kind of surprised to see no case comes with the m9700.

so no pcmcia, I thought all new laptops came with these ? can anyone with a m5750 confirm this please, and also how come it doesn't have bluetooth and a member called (ColdSun) said in his review that the m5750 is the same as Fujitsu model which I researched and confirmed that it has internal Bluetooth 2.0.

this is so confusing,

the AW does not come w/ internal blue tooth or a pcmcia slot (it has an express slot)..

not really sure it is the same model as a fujitsu
