Noob question about m1210 and Wifi

Ok, so I ordered a m1210 w/ the Dell Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n Dual-band Internal Wireless, Bluetooth. From what i've heard Wifi lets you basicly connect almost anywhere theres a signal as it continiously searches for signals. My question is that does my wireless card have Wifi or does it support wifi? Better yet, whats the deal with Wifi anyways. I probably shoulda researched before i made this thread but thats just how I roll.

thnx

Also how long did it take [m1210 owner's specificly] did it take you to get your m1210? My estimated ship date is 09/04/06 [september 4th] and the time of arrival is 09/05/06 [september 5th] and i ordered it...August 28th. This to me seems pretty fast....I guess. I've dealed with Dell twice, my brother bought a inspiron [took like...atleast a month] and we also got a desktop 4 years agoISH which i think took a little less then a month. It may also be because I now live in Ontario and one of Dells main warehouses is about an hour and some away. Oh and did anyone else get a phone call roughly 2 days after they bought their dell notebook or whatever and were attempted to be sold more warranty? I just got a phone call from them today [From what I understood....I think he was trying to sell me more warranty. He had a major indian accent]

lmk...

Firstly, Wireless and WIFI are practically synonymous. If you have a wireless card, you can connect to wireless routers and access the internet.

Secondly, when the M1210 first came out, it would take 15-20 days to get one, but now that they`re well into production, it should take alot less. I`m in Canada too, and my friend just bought a 640 m and it took 10 days. My M1210 took upwards of 2 weeks, but that was pretty early on.

Lastly, when I ordered my 1210, the guy would NOT let up on trying to sell me Warranty. I think that`s where the majority of their paycheck comes from - at least that would explain the determination

Thanks, I figured that out shortly after i made this thread. Yeah this guy was the same way BUT he wasnt very good, i asked him how much and he put me on hold for like 2 minutes to figure out lol. Probably not the best way to sell something....
