WTF is this! I start the download manager and it automatically closes and shuts down IE as well!? It's stupid that there's only 100,000 available. What about those of us who participated in the Beta 2 program and were promised RC1?

Mind you, I don't even know if this is legit, as RC1 is not mentioned ANYWHERE on the official Vista site.

Hmmm... that download manager thing wasn't working but the direct link works. I better pause it and get another manager on here. I bet the download will reach 100,000 before I get home tonight.

You know what... this isn't even RC1; it's "PRE-RC1". Why the heck would Microsoft release this?

i used the java download manager and got crazy fast speeds here at work! it was done with the whole 2+gb in a very short time. I screen captured it at a peak of like 3.7mb/s!

This is the pre RC1, not the RC1. We'll still get the RC1 when it's released. We can, for now, use our Beta2 keys to activate this build

Please note*

This is the PRE Release of RC1 clocked in at 2.58GB's and requires the SAME CDKEY you registered for and used in the Beta2 Release.

RC1 Will go live in a week or 2 the file will clock in at 3.2GB and as always will require the key used for Beta2.
