I have been reading tons of threads on this forum. Thanks to everyone that posts here, your information has been really helpful.
I want to buy a Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz XPS M1210 w/ Nvidia card, communications package and extended battery. Only problem is that I really need a coupon!! It's about $1954 U.S. (Computer + Options + Canadian Tax, then converted to U.S. dollars) everyone else seems to have a coupon.
Unfortunately, I don't think any of the coupons that are posted in this big coupon thread work in Canada:
http://www.notebookforums.com/showth...ell+xps+coupon
And the only coupons that I have found for Canada really, really suck... eg. $100 off a computer that costs over $1000 retail (and that only applies to bottom of the barrel crap.)
In fact, the coupon actually increases the price in some cases because it only applies to the "black priced" computers instead of the "red priced" ones. eg. a computer with free options priced at $750 is better than a computer priced at $700 that takes +$250 to get the same options... Who cares about the $100 savings when the total price goes up!
Anyway, I hate these stupid marketing games that Dell plays...
Can anyone offer any insight here!?!? Or sell me a coupon for a few bucks or something!?
The Dell Canada coupons @ FatWallet are useless...
