DVD/CDROM is AWOL

Ok, My DVD/CDRom has now gone missing. I can't get the bios to recognize it even if I try to boot from it.

Has anyone seen this before?

If CMOS doesn't see it, chalk it up to a bad drive.

EGADS...I Swear my machines are ALIVE!

A dead DVD is what I was afraid of Thunder so I went and checked the version of my BIOS (7422GX) and sho nuff I was running NS.00.02.

So I jumped to the resource portal to pull down NS.00.05 and low and behold...My DVD comes back as if to say...please don't give me a brain transplant!

Too late ... The patient is about to be administered anesthesia!
