Samsung X20I Optical Drive dead can I exchange it?

Hi guys

a good friend of mine has a Samsung X20 notebook.
She accidently bumped it against a door frame and broke the optical drive. Although the drive worked fine for about 3 weeks after the bump it suddenly stopped working after she exchanged a CD.
No the drive is dead in the water. The green light is flashing when a CD is in but nothing happens.
Can anybody maybe point me in the right direction what I could do for her? Maybe a service manual or someone know how to exchange the drive if it even is exchangeable.

Thanks a bunch

PS: And where I can I get a cheap replacement???

Look for one or two small screws under the drive. That's what holds it in in most notebooks. Take them out and gently slide the drive out. NewEgg, TigerDirect, FrysOutpost...Just a couple of the online vendors who have slim drives.
