Sager Vs. Alienware

Thread Starter
Ok... I've mostly had Macs for the past 15 years and i'm thinking of getting a laptop. My question is are Sagers and Alienware the same laptops? Who sells what to who? Seems like sager is cheeper and has more build configs. Right now i'm looking at a 9750 or an Alinware 7700, i'm chossing these 2 because I have a need for serial and parallel ports. Any info would be great.

I agree, and remember you're buying from Dell now if you go Alienware.

Yes it is true that Dell has bought out Alienware...we'll see what the future holds for them.

I would suggest you go with Sager it is way more cheaper than Alienware and plus since they are from the same manufacturer why would pay more for a system that has the same specs.

While both do use Clevo barebones, support should be at least 50% of the reason you choose a company. I would dig through the forums and look up support issues and resolutions. Also go through warranty policies with a fine tooth comb.

I have dealt with Sager customer support because my friend couldnt speak english and i actually did not have any problems with it. (as a sidenote, the reason was to return the notebook because of faulty DVD-RW drive)

scoutingwraith - plus Sager's warranty is not bad at all.
