Aaaaagh!!! 5660 or 8886??

I know this topic is probably beaten to hell, but I figure I'll share the personal crisis I am suffering anyways.
I intend to use the computer as a portable DAW as well as (of course)a gaming machine etc.
The 1600x1200 of the 5660 is ideal for running massive screen real estate demanding audio applications, and the dual battery support could be usefull.I also think the 5660 is a nicer looking machine.
In all other regards, the 8886 is a much more functional machine for my purposes, except that the 1280x1024 resolution would end up pissing me off!
The audio line in,the s-video in,and even the TV tuner would definately find a purpose.The MP3 player?Whatever.....
The main 8886 feature that makes it the wiser choice for me is the dual HD support.I can and will fill up 50% 80Gb within the first week of owning it!
Summary:
The 5660 sports the display that I want,is a slicker looking machine, better battery life, less internal stoprage and costs a bit less maxed out.
The 8860 sports the crucial elements of more (portable) storage, audio in,less battery life, and a display that I don't want, and IMO is a bit ugly ..........?
As well as it costs more maxed out.
Does anyone think that there is a chance of the 8886 being equiped with a 1600x1200 UXGA display anytime soon?Or will this feature remain unchanged to maintain a difference between the two product lines? If equiped with such, the 8886 is the obvious choice for my needs.
Any thoughts?
Also, can anyone outline the differences in the built in audio hardware between the two different models?(the 3D Avance AC'97 V. 4.65__Stereo Sound System in the 8886,and the soundblaster compatible whatever it is in the 5660)

I guess I gave up really caring too much about weight or battery life when I started considering the 5660 or 8880.There is definately an appeal to being able to slip a notebook in your jacket pocket and heading out the door, but I'm in it more for the raw performance rather than extreme portability.
I mean the battery life on these things seems more like a novelty than a feature, but as I really don't see myself straying too far fram an AC or DC power supply too opften, this isn't too much of a concern.Plus I'm a crafty guy,and I suppose I'll probably figure out a way to build a semi portable battery PACK for those moments when I need more remote juice.
But my complete inability to make up my mind between either model is still plaguing me.
get what I want(5660's 1600x1200),or get what I need(8886's extra HD and audio in)?
Toss a coin?
Oh why isn't there a slightly more astheticly pleasing 8886 with 1600x1200,dual batteries and dual HD's?
Sager did this on purpose just to antagonize us,didn't they?

Totally agree with you my friend...

Just consider that for the price difference between the 5560 and the 8886 you can get an external 120GB firewire hard drive....

It mainly comes down to the UXGA vs. the Coaxial cable in/MP3 player.

You could also wait for a 888X to come out with the UXGA option.
