Dual widescreen monitors

Can the 6805 support dual resolution monitors? I have an Acer 19" 16x9 with 1440x900 but it looks like the laptop screen will not let me set it to is native resolutin without effecting the monitor output? Is this correct?

my main lcd is 1200x800.
i can set my 2nd monitor up to 2048x1536 or anything w/o affecting my main screen. fn+f4 works as designed
but it all depends on the monitor support, in my case it is 1280x1024
some monitors would scan itself and adjust to the resolution that they thinks they can support
still it should not affect ur native lcd resolution

cheers ...

Gave up on XP 64 bit. Glad I did not purchase it since Vista is on its way soon. Though you will not like the pricing of it!

I did end up removing ATi and installed it again clean and now I have dual monitors working correctly with XP and Vista.

Thanks for the help.
