Drivers (and hello!)

Hello guys. I'm new, but I've been enjoying reading all the information on alienware this forum offers. I had an Alienware area-51m 5620 (older model) but the battery life was just too short for me (even with two batteries) so I sold it this week and just ordered a blue Sentia Extreme (i had a friend who didn't need it anymore and I got a SWEET deal).

I know theres the ftp://alienware.com site for drivers, but I don't see any sentia drivers on there? Is there a site for updated Sentia drivers for people like me who are out of warranty?

Also, I'm unsure if I'll get the alienware recovery disk or any of those things Alienware sends out, if I don't, is there anyway to get one? Is it legal to copy them?

Thanks in advance, and I will be sure to post pics and a review later this week when it comes in...

first, all alienware sentia drivers are out of date, including odm's.
you can access all support info after u recieve your laptop.
u'll get an xp disk and a utility cd. y would u want to copy them cept 4 archival purposes?

I think you may have missed it.. I bought my Sentia Extreme off a friend, so it's coming second hand. It MAY NOT have the XP disk or the drivers... Also.. since I'm not in warranty I cannot access the support area of alienware.com

So my question was if there were any OTHER way to get updated drivers? I like to keep my system's up to date...

I guess I'm not yet accepted into your culture yet... Maybe as soon as I get the laptop and post pics/review =)

so I didn't get a drivers disk at all, would anyone be willing to make me an ISO of a drivers disk for a sentia extreme? As of now with XP installed, I don't have any network, hardwire or otherwise... plus I'm unsure what else i need to be up to date to an original config..

check the site for what drivers u need, then search oem's for most current versions as all the drivers on the disk are out of date.

ok I think I got everything I needed off that site... but the touchpad link is bad. If someone wants to send that to me via AIM I'd be very appreciative..
