Where is 2nd RAM Slot on Pi1505?

Hi all, new here.

I have the above laptop/notebook. Purchased with 512MB RAM installed and first job is to upgrade to 1 Gig. Checked the manuals (poor) and popped on the Vrucial site. Crucial confirm I have a free RAM slot and said it would take up to 2 x 1 Gig sticks.

ANyway followed instructions and advice, opened her up and there was a RAM slot with a 512MB stick of RAM already in it. So, as title where is the second RAM slot??

I've searched this forum and seen a number of posts suggesting the RAM is the other side of the board and under the keyboard?

If it is - can anyone point me in the direction of some decent manuals and instructions on keyboard removal?

Thanks in advance.

You can have ram in 2 spots.
1. The main slot is underneath the laptop. There is usually a little slot, you have to unscrew it and place it there.
2. THe one above and right underneath the keyboard. Which you will need to dismantle half the laptop to get throught.

If I told you, I would be lying. LoL
You might need to unscrew the bottom to get access to it.
On the bottom of the laptop there should be little screws. Unscrew them n go from there.

Man, I've never had my hands on a Siemens laptop before, so I couldn't tell you. I suggest you google the laptop. Look for reviews. they usually take them apart. Every laptop is differnet. My Dell give me access through the keyboard. I just take out a plastic cover about the keyboard and take out the keyboard screws and wallahhh! I have access. My MSI s271 is completely different. I have to unscrew the bottom screws to get access to everything else. Just be careful and use common sense.

All sorted. reference for others if helpful

Remove single screw in removal plate (has k/b etched into plastic). There is 1 catch, either side of the keybord and 4 along the top row of keys, press these in as you (gently) lift the keyboard. One more screw and the ram slot is exposed.

Ram now in this slot awaiting arrival or extra stick
