Sentia Graphics Card - Limits?

Hey all,

I'm pretty much sold on buying a new Setia M3450, but I want to make sure I won't get any hang ups with the graphics.

What's the limit of the capabilities of the Intel® GMA 950 Extreme Graphics card? I have my desktop to game, but it's always nice to be able to take a game with me on the road. Gaming is a secondary concern though, I know an M5550 or higher with a ATI Mobility or 7600Go would be better for gaming.

I want to be sure I won't have trouble running any 3D enviorments I *need* to run and curious about what games I *could* run.

So, what have you been able to run on your Sentia?

This is a BAD choice for gaming, while some games will Technically play, quality will be very limited. As far as apps are concerned, it will run most as far as I know, but again dont expect much as far as running multiple programs includeing a stressing 3d app. And this will change in the next 6 months when DX10 hits the market.

If grfx performance is at all in question this is not your choice.
The 5500 is much more suited to what it sounds like you want, and if you want a smaller screen there are better laptops available right now.

check out the post by cornerbck, i think its a decent card, becuse im not a heavy gamer. ide go for the area 51 m5550 for games

Thanks guys,

Sounds like I'll be happy with the card. I do game fairly often, but this lappy is for work, the desktop has the gaming covered. Placed my order and it's now queued for production!
