I want to trade my Dell E1705 for an XPS M1210. Check my sig for details on my E1705. I have the 1 year warranty until June 2007, and I also have Restore Disks. I'm taking offers, around $1500. Anyone wanna trade?

No, that sorta goes with the whole package. Anyway, I'm having second thoughts. I want something that will last me awhile and I don't think the M1210 will cut it. Sorry for anyone that is disapointed. To any mods, go ahead and close this thread. Thanks!

bump...

too bad I already sold my M1210

*bump*

PS. I don't mean to be rude but I found the title of this thread to be misleading as you have the lowest possible processor available and the GS. Although I do still think it's a fair trade for an M1210.

Well, thank you Imperil. I didn't mean for it to be misleading. I love this thing but it is just too darn big! It is fast as anything and I was planning on upgrading to Merom but eh. Also, the GS is top of the line for an E1705, the GTX can only be found in the M1710. Thanks again!

If I can get a good deal, the E1705 is sold and I'm buying an M1210. If not, then I'm keepin my E1705. Thanks all!

if you go for the 1210, you may regret it around Vista time as the GPU on the 1210 will probably work (if not the integrated) but not too good as Vista is quite the hog... i have ran many versions of vista starting on my XPS Gen1. It ran excellent!!!

Just my opinion. I do agree, the 17 series is quite big. Not too big for my taste, but big nonetheless when it comes to ultimate portability, the 17 series is in another galaxy... At least it isnt as big as some of those Clevo based units with the dual bays. I would LOVE to have one of those even though I would need to join a gym to move it around as much as I do.

I really dont get why people hate the 17 inchs maybe its just me but I'd love to carry a 17inch all day lol even if its heavy make me stronger in the day = D

I am about to upgrade my E1705 to the 7900GTX. I have it and the XPS power supply in the box. Just need the time to do it.

I knew that the GTX would work in the E1705, its just you can't originally configure it that way. Good luck with that upgrade, it should just be drop in.
