Fn+F2

It's not in the documentation anywhere, but I was curious what the unlabeled Fn+F(x) combos did, and it seems Fn+F2 puts the fans on overdrive. Can anyone confirm this? I'm using a CX6 but I suppose there may be a similar hotkey on other models.

Also, is there a reason the fans have been throttled back? Is it too much wear and tear to allow them to run at this level normally?

ON my lappy fn+f2 toggles fans from auto to manual full, Id assume with the fans makeing such a noise on ful,l auto will be more suitable when internet browsing and such, i switch mine to full whenever i launch an intensive game or software and when not gameing i let the system control them as it sees fit

Yeah that's what I figured. But it seems that when on auto the fans never reach the level that they do when you manually turn them to full. I could be running intense games and the fans never turned up this high. I guess it's just too much noise. But I would've liked to know about it before, this could come in handy in making sure nothing overheats.

The reason it is not in the system manual is that it was a bios revision after the fact. I would expect that newer models would ahve that - but yeah, it was an update to the bios.

fn+f1 (if i remember correctly) disables the touchpad and dj controls.

You are 100% correct Ratmyr. Newer models have explanations of each Fn+F keys.

Fn+F1 does in fact turn of the touchpad and the DJ controls.

Yeah I knew the F1 one. The unlabeled keys are like easter eggs for laptops, I guess.

I cannot find this mode on my MX6. FN f2 is Wirless control, the only unlabeled at F4 and F9 and they seemingly do nothing.

The Aviator MX6 is an ASUS based notebook, not CLEVO like most of HyperSonic's notebooks. This is why that function would not work on that particular unit.
