FS: Alienware Area 51m 7700

**** SOLD ****

This is a great machine and will make any new owner very happy. If you take care of it and love it like I do I think you will get years of use out of it.

There are some minor blemishes on the wrist rest area and on the plastic below the screen, other than that the machine is in great condition. The screen is bright and has no scratches or dead pixels. I almost always use an external keyboard and mouse so the keyboard and touchpad are in excellent condition. I am also including the Alienware backpack which will be of little use to me without the laptop to put in it.

COOL FEATURES:

Extreme Performance - SATA RAID 0
For users seeking the highest levels of hard drive performance, Alienware offers Serial ATA RAID 0 configurations. RAID 0, or "striping," distributes data between two identical hard drives to enable enhanced system performance. In addition to increased performance, RAID 0 combines two hard drives sequentially, which doubles the total amount of available storage space. Suitable for situations in which drive performance and capacity are crucial, RAID 0 is the perfect solution.

High Performance with Data Security - SATA RAID 1
Serial ATA RAID 1 configurations provide fault tolerance for the ultimate peace of mind solution. RAID 1, or "mirroring," stores data in parallel between two identical hard drives to provide data security - should one drive fail, the second drive takes over, allowing the system to function as it did before the failure. When high performance with redundancy is a must, RAID 1 is the optimal solution.

Unfortunately, the Alienware Warranty for all systems is not transferable as explained in the Terms and Conditions Agreement, inside the Alienware Product Manual.

It's just a home made solution I used to get it elevated so the screen was at a more comfortable viewing angle for me. They are just 20oz. soda bottle caps glued end to end with super glue. The diameter of the cap fits perfectly over the rubber feet on the bottom of the machine.

If you buy the laptop i'll send them with it. HEHE

You hit a sore spot... I've had this laptop prematurely removed multiple times from both Ebay AND Amazon auctions by these jerks that win the auction and then ask to wire the money so I can ship to their (son/uncle/pastor/father) in Africa. It getting to the point where an honest seller cant even sell his goods because of all the auction griefing. Do people really fall for this ? Maybe I should just put it in my local newspaper.....

I couldnt wait for the laptop to sell before I went ahead and got the upgrades I wanted for my desktop system. I ended up getting an Athlon 64 X2 4600+, 2 gig corsair ddr800, asus m2n-sli mobo, and a 7950gx2 video card. So im all set for gaming.

I'm only interested in cash offers now so I can pay off some bills, and recoup some of the money I spent on the upgrade.
