Hi guys... I entered in contact with the support of the WateWay and asked if GateWay M505XL can run games Counter-Strike, BattleField, Max Payne2, Unreal.... and others... And they had said that yes... Someone can prove me this? If it is really truth...

Hum, Who has this GateWay here? Can talk one more about this model ?
I am thinking about purchase it.

They said that the battery so lasts 1 1/2.. it is truth?

Thanks...

If you considering buying the M505XL you will have to wait: 2 weeks to built and 1 week for delievery. I should get my M505XL on March 11. I don't have it yet, so I can't tell you about games. But I think you can since it has an ATI 64MB. My Gateway desktop has an Intel Extreme (64MB share) and Counter-Strike works.

Try looking through the forum just a little bit.

I tried some games out when I first got mine in november/december. It runs games flawlessly. Even Halo run great, though I did have to turn the res. down a bit. FarCry FLOATS on the 505x. No problems gaming wise.

Battery life is about 4.5-5 hours under normal usage. Hardcore gaming I would think would get you about 2, maybe a little bit less.

I've played Painkiller, UT 2004, and Max Payne 2. My m505x runs them fine with no problems. Painkiller doesn't have a widescreen resolution in the settings, but it still looks great. Max Payne and UT2004 do, and they look amazing. UT runs fast and smooth as silk, no slow downs at all.

I don't play Battlefield or Counter Strike, so I can't comment on them.

I don't play games much on the battery, so I can't give you much insight on that. However, the battery does last around 4.5 hours with normal usage such as watching DVDs, playing mp3s and web surfing.

BTW, the speakers are fing amazing for a notebook. Everytime I hear music or play I game, I can't get over how great these speakers are.

are u guys sure u are getting 4.5 hrs all the time under normal usage? it seems like i get like 3 hrs ave just doing basic processing and web. The same goes for using adobe premerire, photoshop and flash... unless my battery is getting bad already ( i only had my m505 for like a month)

should i get a new battery under warranty? it seems like my battery goes down from 99% to 70 % quick!

well if you are using photoshop, that would seriously kill battery time.
