630m mem 1024 + 256 = dual channel

Thread Starter
Just upgraded my 630m to better suit HDTV playback.

Popped in 1024 ram stick from Aeneon to add up my 256 Samsung and to my great surprise its dual channel. So the 915G chipset actually is able to work with ram mismatches. Programs now tell me I got 2x 768 DDR2 533 (4-4-4-12-15) Ram installed. SPD values are still correct.

I also pin-modded my CPU to 2.26 (now running on .7 to 1.244 volts - before .7 to 1.004 volts). I have to exchange a cheepo silicon paste I used for AS5 though. Idle temperature jumped up 6-7°C.

i think this is an error, because only 2 identical (size, clock rate, etc) sticks of ram can form a dual channel. so if i where you i would buy another stick of 1 gigabyte of the same type/brand.
