7900GTX in 5720! over 9k 3DMark05 points!

I recieved my 7900GTX 512 today.

Here are some benchies:

3D Mark 03: 18591 points
3D Mark 05: 9081 points
3D Mark 06: 4719 points

I oc'ed the card to 550/715 and my CPU to 2,47Ghz.


I paid 460euros incl. shipping. I bought the card from a german dealer ( www.ww-mmm.de )

edit: With 620/720 i reach 9546 points in 3dm05

I testet my cpu for 6 hours and it is primestable. I overclocked the video card only for the benchies, 24/7 it is running with default clocks.

damn, I have an AW m7700, I am getting the same card for xmas, I have the 3GHz P4 and 2 GB of RAM and 2x60 GB 5400 RPM's. Think I could hit scores like that or higher? BTW what were your GPU temps?

hmmm, well do you think there will be way better cards for the m7700 then? I kind of think the 7900 GTX might be the most advanced card possible. What do you think?

that will totally depend on the power requirements of the next gen cards. if the power requirements for the cards will be similar to those we have now, clevo will probably design some upgrade kits for existing notebooks. if not you can always get the 7900gtx

@cHRoNiCauST: i think your p4 3ghz is not fast enough to reach scores like that. What CPU-Score do you have in 3DMark06? I have 1101....

Ya, you are right. Have you been following CNBC today? All tech companies just announced that all technological progression will be over in approximately two months, as they have officially become "advanced as possible". All tech companies will now cease R&D and focus primarily on sales. Sell sell sell!
