chroni no one is biased except you. the pentium 4 was a failure from the beginning. that architecture was only made to get more mhz. intel only kept it running because they thought they'd lose customers by switching from a 3ghz monster to a 2ghz weakling (marketing wise) but they had to do it in the end because the heat output could be cooled by air anymore.
and the 6xx series isn't any better than the 5xx series. a 3ghz 6xx is comparable to a 3.2ghz 5xx not more. clock for clock the p4 is shit that's why they now switch to the core architecture. and you p4 mabye runs cooler because it has a beefier cooling system. the tdp of your processor is above 80 watts and the tdp of our pentium m's is below 30 watts.
so the pentium m is
and btw mine runs below 40 degrees under full load with full fan power.
cody: in super pi the p4 shouldn't be too far behind your pm. but in 3d applications (aka games) the pm is comparable to athlon 64's which are as we all know far far better than p4's in gaming. btw my aquamark score for the processor is around 12k points
