So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...
Lenovo Thinkpad W530 Review

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
Does ayone know if IBM is replacing/reconfiguring R50p? - the R50p is no longer an order option on USA website.
Silly me is about to order one - should I wait?
Thanks
My initial thought was you must be crazy! But you're not! All R series with 128mb vid cards are gone ... they were there yesterday. Maximum vid cards are 32mb -- whoa, wonder what's goin on
I've seen this before. One day they are missing some of their models and the next day their back with no apparent explanation why? The R50p is relatively new and IBM's policy is to make very few changes to models for at least a year after release just to ensure your investment. Good logic that may fly in the face of being cutting edge - which is not what IBM is all about.
I have an R50p (since last December) and couldn't think of any laptop that can replace it. Not in terms of power, but in terms of ergonomics, keyboard layout, touchpad/trackpoint, LCD, and support.
Still not available on USA website after 3 days and no reply from IBM for any clarification.Seems like IBM is brewing something - can anyone enlighten me on this conspiracy?
Maybe they're upgrading the video card specifically on the R50 as the T41's can still be configured online with the FireGL cards.
Any wisdom would be most appreciated.
Thanks
No, I think they just take them off when they are low in stock. I really don't see them changing anything on the R50p. Any drastic additions they'd probably hold out on for the next revolution of the R-p series
