I have an Acer Aspire 5002 Notebook with built in internal Wireless - I have issues with it:
Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter
Driver Date: 12/22/2004
Driver Ver: 3.100.46.0 built by WinDDK
c:\\WINDOWS\sysem32\DRIVERS\BCMWL5.SYS
I go to Device Manager, Adapter Properties, Advanced.
There are 23 properties.
The device is working properly, no conflicts.
But, I cannot get connected to WPA-PSK2 (not at all!!)
QUESTION: What turns on the WPA-PSK2?
(I can only connect to WPA-PSK!)
There is no selection for WPA-PSK2 in Windows XP "Wireless Network Connection Properties." What is the problem here?? Why is it notavailable?
I use Windows XP Home Edition on my laptop.
Is this a Broadcom driver issue?
Is this a limitation on my Internal adapter hardware by Broadcom?
Does the Internal Broadcom adapter hardware need a firmware update?
Is this something wrong in WindowsXP Home Edition & I need a work-around? What is it?
(I can select Open, Shared, WPA, and WPA-PSK only).
Is the Internal Broadcom adapter broken? What turns on WPA-PAK2??
How to? How to?
Thank you
