hey ya im after some dvd ripping software for windowsxp (doesnt have to be free) that will rip dvds to my nice new external hard drive . Most of the programs i've looked at only copy discs straight to another can anyone recommend me a product they've used or have. I guess it needs to rip fairly quick too.. Maybe a bundle type thing would be good with a program to watch them on toobecause at uni my laptop is basically used as a tv.
Thanks

DVD Decrypter and then VLC to watch it.

You can also use DVD Shrink http://www.dvdshrink.org
VLC is a great free player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I'd recommend DVDFab Decrypter, since it handles more protection formats than DVD Decrypter (which is no longer being developed).

For viewing, I use VLC and Media Player Classic. The second works a lot better when VLC starts outputting choppy audio.
