E1505 screen problem

I am trying to get my screen to have a good resolution. however the 15.4 Inch UltraSharp TrueLife Wide-screen WSXGA+, with a radeon 1300 video card i am getting the following problems in windows. The dolor fonts look kind of blurry while the black on white fonts in explorer look sharp as they can get. I try to adjust the clear type fonts to have smooth fonts but this doesn't seem to be an option in windows.

The fonts problem is it a software issue or do I have to tweak something to get them a little clearer.

You mean you've gone to Display Properties > Appearance > Effects and selected Standard rather than ClearType? If not try it. I've got the same screen and it's fine. I have Cleartype on because I think it looks better smoothed.

seems to be as you describe. when looking from the side the screen when black and not on shows the antireflective coating. The screen appears to be "wavy" so i called and they are replacing the screen. Other than that i am pleased with the computer.
