Yah, but!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't they have a long leed time on all of their orders?

Yeah, but I think it's due to the paintjobs.

Isn't this the exact same pattern we see with EVERY new Clevo release? PCT and others ship them out all at the same time...

this is nuts Sager is a LOT cheaper...by at least $1000.00 for a similar config...

I dont give a sh!t about what Voodoo has on offer but I am happy because this can only mean that the units are shipping from Clevo and we are about to see a similar release by Sager...

I would give it a week...two weeks max before the 8790 is available for ordering...

3 months of waiting is about to come to an end

I'm happy for ya, GS! I've known no one more fiercely loyal to Sager than you.

If ONLY they had a WUXGA version available...ahhh, to dream...

Q-Ball - you HAVE to make up your mind and be more consistent on the forums. Some of your posts are so much fun to read

What is this : http://notebookforums.com/showpost.p...&postcount=598

Im not sure what you're playing at but it sure is amusing

Just for fun I went through the cofig and why does it cost $63.83 to enable raid.
Just from messing around a believe the RAID cost covers another hard drive (they say 120GB Raid instead of 2X60GB. I can only pray that the Sager version of this machine runs significantly cheaper.

Ha ha ha ha!!!

I saw that too!! man they make GO-L look honest!!!

OMG - Voodoo has totally lost my respect...I thought they were good but this is just a load of blarney coated with vomit!!

Eurocom's got their's up, too. Not sure who hit first, but I emailed them and got a response in regards to the D870- according to them, they get their first shipment (already spoken for apparently) on Fri this week or Mon next week. Part of a forwarded mail from the CEO to the CS rep that mailed me told the rep to give a 2 week lead time.

Enabling Raid for $63. Should be free.
They havent done anything obviously shady or dishonest - but using sugary english to paint a pretty picture is wrong afaiac

I like sites that put forth the bare assed facts and then write something to describe their hardware...Voodoo and Go-L are writing shakespearesque crap about their hardware which really isnt something brought to earth by an alien race...

Its like...

Feel the glowing power under the lid when you touch one of our custom tattooed LCD covers. You can sense the beast inside the confines of the brilliant 17" xga LCD waiting to pounce at you. 200mhz response rate. The beast cannot be tamed!!! The keyboard waits to greet you...mozart would have loved the feel of the keys on this grand piano among notebook keyboards.

And so on...

You see what I mean? They use fancy pancy english to describe mediocre hardware...cant fool me and anyone who knows their sh!t
post #19 of 65
Hmmm, I saw that on one computer...but not on another. Hit refresh and its gone. Maybe it was a glitch/typo and is now fixed? It doesnt seem like its hidden now...

$251.04 for the second 60gig 7200 harddrive with RAID on. Seems about right.

For the shakespeare...

Its marketing. You dont expect a lion to come jumping from your cup holder...but it sets a kind of atmosphere about the company. Some people like a little art in with it, it gets a little dry looking at hz fps gig gbps mips mflops....

Engineers and Architects. They both need to be logical in thier professions, yet one uses art much more than the other, and the other more linear thought. Neither is wrong, its just how they like it.

Besides, id hardly call it "Mediocre". After all that is a rebadged 8790...the same system youve been waiting all this time for I beleive.
