how to reinstall the operating system with the operating cd?

Scroll down and there is a link and all kinds of good stuff. I followed that and it was easy enough. Just do a search on the forums if you have any problems.

Also install the drivers in this order:

system software
chipset
video
audio
network
wireless network
then whatever.

I think you need to install the modem before audio. I didn't on mine and the modem is still the nice yellow (?). So modem then audio etc.

It doesn't matter what order you install the drivers in. I have done countless fresh installs on all different kinds of computers, and you can install any driver at any time in any order. These orders people say you have to follow are just anecdotal computer voodoo, not based on anything factual.

The only reason I said that cos my system is hanging after the xp start up logo...so I chatted with tech support and they said just to be safe I should install them in that order. So I figure, why not do it like that, it can only cause good things.
