Notebook TV tuner cards are the generic cards any good?

I really would like to get a TV tuner card but have no idea which 1 to get.
I really was wondering of the generic cards would work in my V6000.

which operating system are you using? i just bought (and am sending back) the avermedia mce card. i read great reviews on the card, i just guess i didnt know there was so much involved in setting it up.

everything i've read online pretty much points to most of the usb cards for laptops will work fine with xp pro, as long as your processor can handle the extra load. of course you could get a card that has hardware to handle that as well.
