I finally made up my mind of getting aspire 5672 x1600 until today when i saw a smilar laptop (forgot the brand name). It has about the same specs except that it comes with AMD turion 64 x2, and it has 2gig of ram, i think 533mhz. same video card also.. so uh.. since iam getting this laptop mostly for gaming, is it better to get the AMD version? isnt AMD better for gaming? but AMD heats up alot so.... and i also heard the core duo version heats up like hell.... But wat about the 2 gig ram that it comes with the AMD version...? AHHHHH... Decisions... decisions..... HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!

I'm a huge AMD fan, but Joost is right.
The other notebook in question is likely the Acer Ferrari 5000, right?
I sweated over buying that notebook for 2 weeks before buying another for the exact same price, but better.

Ferrari 5000
15.4" Screen
2GB Dual-channel DDR2 RAM at 667Mhz
AMD Turion X2 TL-60 2.0 GHz (2MB combined L2 cache)
ATI X1600

Alienware M5750
17.0" Screen <-that was my toughest decision
1GB Dual-channel DDR2 RAM at 667Mhz
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz (4MB combined L2 cache)
ATI X1800

Same price.
