3880 Died?

After playing WoW for a while last night, I was browsing the web. All of a sudden, the display went black and the laptop seemed to go to sleep. However, it will not power back up past briefly lighting the five green lights on the upper righthand side and very briefly running the fan.

Very very bummed here. Have opened a support request with Sager and am waiting for a call back, but some of the support feedback here is not very encouraging.

I also did the whole "take out the battery, leave it out all night, try to start it up in the morning, try to start it with just AC and no battery, try to start it with battery and no AC" tango, to no effect.

Hmmmmm...maybe something fried inside the motherboard?

Ram is the culprit?

My laptop was in the same situation, it was because the only RAM module installed was defective. After getting a new couple of modules it worked flawlessly until the next couple of RAM modules began to get fried and I decided to go for a posh memory brand.
