W3J - disabling ATI

is it possible to disable the ATI graphic mode on the W3J laptop to use the Intel integrated video acceleration instead?

nope. you could, however, set Powerplay to maximum battery life, assuming longer battery life is what you're looking for

Pretty sure the W3J doesn't have any integrated graphics...uses PM chipset, not GM

The W3J does not have the capability of swapping GPU's via a switch. Only some Sony models have them.
