I Give Up!!!!!!!!! - Page 2

1/2 of what game? NBA?

If so, I'd call AW and see if they recommend flashing the bios (and YES, have them on the phone!).

But really, I know it stinks but...You may want to consider playing NBA on another machine (do you have a desktop?) as it seems to be the only game giving you concerns.

I still play CS on my desktop as the Area51m has not been able to provide me with a decent looking gamma setting for that particular game. What can I do? Everything else works flawlessly, I'm not messing with anything over one game/app.

But that's just my 2 cents...Call AW and see what they say. Get back to us with their answer.

I have used an Antec cooler since day one. I have not had heat issues. BUT I did blow out the vents with canned air after 2 months or so and WOW... what a dust storm! Maybe the vents are allowing air to pass through, but the dust has caked the heatsink.

It does seem like it's the game (per others that have posted), but I was amazed by the amount of dust that blew out of my system. It might be worth a try.

Good Luck!

Just spent some time on the phone with tech support...updated my bios to 1.09...they say that 1.13 and 1.13.11 have not proven to be fully reliable and that 1.09 is their best bios so far...everything seems ok and NBA Live played but only time will tell if it continues to behave...Craig-when I said 1/2 I meant that half the time NBA Live would work and the other half it wouldn't...Thanks everyone for their suggestions and help...I hope this bios update proves to do the trick...wish me luck...

Yes sir...it is only NBA Live...but what bothers me is that no one else has reported this...no where on the web...if there was at least one other person that would tell me hey me too then I would feel better and not blame my lappie...

Strange....I play NHL 2004 (COMPLETELY maxed out), and it runs as smooth as a baby's behind....and OC'd.

EA FIFA2004 locks up in the menus. Once you get the game running its fine (i guess havent played it long enough) but heaven forbid you take to long choosing teams or something other than the action and it locks up. Could just be the way certain games are written.

Gotta love EA Sports, I can play Fifa 2004 on my 450mhz, but it wouldn't play 2003 without locking up, and since they never had a patch for 2003....
