E1505 Config

I've noticed that whenever you go to config a E1505, sometimes there are not 7200rpm drives or GeForce 7400 cards to select. Whats up with that?

To the best of my knowledge there has never been a GeForce 7400 available for the e1505. The 7200 RPM drives are usually there though. It may depend on the deal you picked to be able to customize too though. If you pick the bottom basement priced one, they may not be an option.

For about the past week or so. I think I've read it has also been true with the m1210 as well.

Also on some other configurations they have stopped offering them because of a supplier shortage, I guess. I did notice that it was only the 100 GB HD because they had some other smaller sizes. It will give them a chance to catch up, I guess.... fathergoose

I would personally take the 120GB or 160GB 5400rpm drives over the 60GB or 80GB 7200rpm drives any day of the week. The 100GB model is the only one i would consider for 7200rpm. The new perpendicular 160GB drives are faster then the 60GB 7200rpm drives in most tests and offer far more storage. There is no reason to go with a hard drive that small which is just going to be hotter and louder but not faster.
