X1800 Oos

Estimated ETA 9/14 to arrive in production (AKA Left Hand)
But that news was from a AW CSR. (AKA Right Hand)

I asked the CSR why did I not get an email with this news. He told me the email system takes about 1 week to send out a OOS email.

Still not worried.... I do wish they linked their Production/Call Center and Website together better and kept them in sync. I suggested they contact Dell to get some new servers.

WTH?? Yesterday CS told me I have no backorder on my system and my should go to production within few days!!! I can see they want to challenge my patience...

looks like we're all on the same boat...

dang u guys messed up my phase game...if you guys didn't order, i would be getting my system...thanks to you guys everythings back ordered!

I don't think it would be that straight forward for ya.... I haven't notice anyone with C2D and X1800 combo that has passed Phase 4! Seems like they weren't well prepared for the demand.

updated...

So guys, I could not resist and called AW this morning. Complained a little about delays ... this time nice lady called Wendy put the phone on hold for 2 times (not more than 5 minutes), did "some research" and found out a part of my system was really back ordered. She assured me it arrived TODAY so they gonna put my into production TOMORROW ! After that it takes ~6 days to ship it and ~4 days to receive it - so simple math updates landing for 9/22 ! Please, hold me if I don't have it by then!

Maybe you gonna get it earlier.... darned! My phase didn't move anywhere! Called CS again and guess - surprise!!! Today I have not 1 but already 3 parts on back order (Graphics, RAM, optical drive) !!!!! I couldn't believe my ears since on Friday I was assured that my only back order (ATI x1800) arrived to AW that day and my supposed to move into production!

I was really pi...ed! I was tempted to say bye to AW but since I've already ordered JBL Encounters, I calmed down, swallowed this bitter pill and gave it another 3 days of wait.

Hope you are more lucky with your order.

... and there is supposed to arrive like 2800 pieces of those, so who just ordered won't need to go through this hell of frustration and waiting (at least for few days )...

Some say. I'm running the latest right now the 1.15 and we'll see how she stacks up. So far I'm having no issuse with freezing and restarting.

Just shoot me alread

Pretty much gotten down too the nitty gritty and this was the only thing left to do. Sorry too hear that you guys have been waiting so long. I thought Yangshe already got his but I guess not. Mine got on back order aswell for the video card/hdd. So I switched out the hdd for a different one and asked if there was anyway too get a different card then the x1800 but it was pretty much a no

I tried to get the CS rep i was talking too, too see if there was anyway I could get the 7900GTX in this machine instead of the x1800

well LiL yang's has shipped already and should get to me next tuesday, I'll be testing it out and seeing if it has any random shut downs etc.

I honestly don't think that the x1800 is what is holding a lot of us back...it could be the hdd but I doubt it since, it's the same 100gb 7200 hdd that's offered in other systems.

so it can't be ram b/c I have the same 512 ram configured for both my lil bro's system and mine...

processor maybe? are there a lot of us who have ordered the machine w/ 2.0 cpu?

I think it might be the X1800 but it could also be that they are totally swamped with orders. There were a large number of people waiting to pull the the trigger on C2D.

Congraultations - I expect mine to hit production today.

Actually - I expected to hit production on 8/30, 9/4, 9/7 etc.etc.
