A friend of mine asked me to fix her laptop because someone had stepped on the top of it cracking the LCD. Sounds fun right? So I replaced the LCD and the inverter because I noticed the inverter had taken some damage too. When I hooked everything up I used a flashlight to see if the video was working and it was. But my problem is I have no backlight. Is there a way to use a voltmeter to see if the inverter is atleast trying to send power to the CCFL(backlight) on the LCD. Keep in mind the LCD and inverter are both NEW and part #'s are the same on the old and new parts. So I doubt it's because of an incompatibility. I can add photos of the connection to the inverter and/or LCD if that would help. Any help would be appreciated.
