Wow, moving rather quickly for you! You musta hit a nerve from someone pretty high up there...

Funny, now I'm back to Phase 3. But when I spoke to the rep on the phone, he said I'm on 5. Whatever really.. I'll just believe when I see a tracking number for my stuff...

Haha Plain, don't bother with the status online.. They're not updating all orders since there are so many. Mine was updated but either way I made it clear to them: If I don't receive my system by the beginning of the week AFTER next week I'm seriously cancelling the order. Email said 7-8 business days since Labor Day so.. If it doesn't happen, it's over! I mean if it took any longer I'd just keep the FX...

Yeah still Phase 5 for me.

Don't know if anybody can answer this but does AW work on the weekends? I mean in the factory. I know they don't ship obviously but just wondering if they run a shift on the weekend to keep production going.

I think they do P&G. Last AW rig I built it didn't change Phases over the weekend but I remember skipping from Phase 6 on Friday to 9 on Monday (It was a laptop, the 7700). Plus it would be REALLY stupid to NOT have anyone working on those computers after all the stuff is in (except FX..) with all the orders they have backordered.

Anyways I finally figured out the Phase swapping thingy going on. I spoke to somone that seemed pretty sure of what was happening. He had no accent which was a first for the CS dept. over there.

For those of us that e-mailed back (and not called instead to do the order change from the FX) there will be a day or 2 delay. AW gets too many emails on order_status@alienware.com whereas with a Phone call you can have them do it right away.

So when I went into Phase 5, it was actually the order with the AlienFX STILL in my order, just like what happened to BigPun. When they emailed me back saying my order had changed to remove AlienFX, it takes 2 more days for the change to actually go through so when it did, it went back to Phase 3. After speaking to the rep, he said that I should see Phase 5 back again on Monday when production starts and he also said it should be shipped by the end of next week (1 week from today, Friday).

So we'll see if AW holds true to their e-mail...

Didn't you order around the same time as me those last few days of July? Hopefully thats good news for me cause I'm still stuck on Phase 5 according to the website.

I ordered August 22nd. I didn’t go with the FX lighting though. Hopefully it ships Monday.
