I've searched around the forums and seems like this topic is quite old, and probably long forgotten. Either we all found a solution (quickset? from what I gather it doesn't work for the 700m) or just keeping quiet because it's not as annoying.

Anyways, I find it quite annoying, how the 700m volume setting is awkwardly placed, no OSD and stuff. I'm surprised I'm still not used to adjusting my volume despite using my 700m for an entire year - majority of the time. As a result I decided to develope my own OSD, and well share with the people that feel the same as me.

Just to get a brief idea of this OSD, here's a screen shot:


I'm actively developing this, just adding bits of stuff I find useful. I'm also open to suggestion.

Current feature are:
Hotkey: WIN + UP to increase volume (master/wave)
Hotkey: WIN + DOWN to decrease volume (master/wave)
Hotkey: WIN + O load volume setting (reduce task tray icons)
On screen display of current volume for 2 seconds - centered
Short audio level feedback

There are still many other things I want to add, such as making it more customizable and stuff.
