Has anyone downloaded these and gotten them to run?

Specifically for the 1400x900 resolution on the 4760 widescreens?

I am running them now. DLed last night - I get better speeds from glxgears. They dont seem to add any crazy new functionality though.

Are they for 2.4 or 2.6 I'm at work and don't have time to look yet.

Sorry - they are for 2.4 and 2.6 I believe. Personally I think 2.6.x is the only way to go.

Especially with our fairly exotic hardware.

I finnaly got grub to play nice last night, running a 2.6.3-gentoo-r1 kernel now the long part emerging all the apps. I'll be trying out these when I get to that stage and report my findings on the 5670.

Good stuff

I wish ATI would release Linux drivers for the 7500. Then I wouldn't have to watch flying toasters at 9 fps.
Why not use the DRI projects drivers for the 7500 - the DRI drivers worked very well before I went to the 5680 and 9600

Just out of interest they do seem to give less artifacts - they still identify my card as a NP though. Also winex stuff is a lot better.
