Installed with Doom 3?

Ok, I was just running my antivirus stuff when i noticed that it was searching C:Program Files>Doom 3. Since I dont own Doom 3 I have no idea how it got their. But when i checked out the file sure enough Doom 3 was there, or at least some files which seem to contain Doom 3 or what not. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it left over from the Alienware stress test that they do or something?

Probably, they run several tests before sending a machine out. They must have forgot to uninstall it and left it there.

But i cant seem to play it. When i click the Doom 3 logo, nothing happens >.< I WANT IT!

It's most likely just leftover from the standard benchmark programs they run, and, unfortunately, you'll have to buy the whole program (but, isn't it going for a pretty low price these days?)

I dunno if it is, but that really mean of them to leave it on your system giving you flase hope. I was really wanting that game to, I guess ill have to go buy it.

I have played it before and really like it. And Direct2Drive dosent have Doom 3 sadly, i dont know why, but they dont. And i just saw that its $20 too, ill prolly run to the store and get it this weekend.

Im a fan of scary games like that. Even though I personally find them very hard to play, especially at night. I cant play F.E.A.R. for long times after dark >.< Doom 3 was a no play after the sun goes down, but I still really like it, lol.

Don't know if you've tried it with 5.1 sound speakers, it gets scarier...

OMG! I want to try that now. I bet it gets scarier. The only bad thing aobut Doom 3 is that it gets pretty predictable. But ill be sure to try and get some surrondsound headphones just for Doom 3....
