I've had this notebook for two trouble free years now. One day I get a call from my wife saying it won't turn on. Here is what happens:
Turn power switch on, Power light comes on, I hear the HD spinning, I get to the screen where is says, "Press F2 for startup menu", and then the screen goes blank. That's it, nothing after that.
I called powernotebooks.com (where I got the notebook from) and they gave me instructions to reset the CMOS by shorting out a little jumper under the RAM module; no luck there. I thought maybe a bad RAM module so I did every combination between the two slots with two different ones, no luck. I plugged in my desktop monitor to make sure my display just wasn't going out, same thing as before but the "F2" screen stays on a bit longer before shutting down. Is there anything else I can do/check? I would appreciate any help before I have to send it in (I'm hoping my motherboard isn't shot). Thanks for your time.

1 year later (fall 2005) and i could never find another one (loved it that much) Also is the unit on battery when this problem happens, try with the battery disconnected from the system and just plugged into AC power.
