can I use a P4M cpu to replace my desktop cpu

I have a Clevo/Sager 5620P, it has a P4 1.8 desktop cpu.

can I install a P4M cpu and run that?

is a bios update needed, or any thing else?

turns out that I can..but it will only run with a 12 multi just like if it were in a desktop mobo.
well it runs cooler at least.
