I finally got my tracking number through and it was apparently shipped ground. What should I say to Dell? They said they upgraded my shipping to overnight, but it says Ground...I was really looking forward to using my laptop tomorrow, but now it looks like I will be getting it Monday or Tuesday Any ideas?

They pulled the same thing with me. They told me that I was getting $150 mail in rebate. The guy I bought it from said "You will be getting a $150 rebate check in the mail". Well, I looked at my order and it says $50 MIR with $100 gift card. Dissapointing...They are kind of like used car salesmen, they will tell you anything to get the sale.

Ahh, I told him to NOT count the $50 mail in rebate in my total. And he didn't. I think they did ship it one day, but the UPS site is not updating as often as I would like it..it still says it is in Mesquite and never left, as of 8:00 this morning, but Mesquite is only about 3 1/2 hours from College Station. It also says it is still scheduled to get here on 9/15, so I hope be seeing the UPS guy very soon

More great news...my delivery has been rescheduled for Monday...when I have class all day. Thanks a lot UPS... it is stuck in Mesquite TX, about 3 hours away...I hope it does not get lonely..

Its typical UPS. They are a miserable company, thank god the only time I ever have to deal with their crap is through Dell.

I ordered mine Friday afternoon, and it went into boxing last night (Sunday, I guess Monday in Malaysia). I'm cheap, so I got the free ground shipping. I'm hoping that UPS will get it on Wednesday (three days after it hit boxing). I could get really lucky and have it this Friday, but it's probably more likely to get here early next week.

It hurts! It hurts!!!

I gotta stick up for UPS here. I order tons of shit online and UPS > FedEx > USPS. I chat to my UPS guy all the time and he comes around almost always at the same time of day when I have a delivery - about 5:30pm, great for coming back from work and being there to sign for something.

Gotta jump in here. I have no problem with UPS locally in Canada, but if I order from the United States, UPS sticks you with brokerage fees and GST (our value added tax) collection fees. I ordered something that was around $25 and the fees were another $25 or so. I've never had a problem like that with any other courier. Now I ask if it's being shipped UPS and if there's no other choice I look elsewhere.

Just my experience.
